Becoming mates
▶ Characters who are young (kit(s) aged- under 6 months) cannot have crushes, at all. This includes flirting or seduction. It is forbidden. Characters who reach their "learning age" ex; Apprentice aged cats, can have crushes but not mates. Apprentice(s) should be focused on other things such as getting to know their clanmates, training and learning.
▶ Do not have multiple mates. The exception to this is wolves. Wolves may have multiple mates (usually only the males tend to have multiple mates) and he needs OOC permission from both female wolves to do this, as well as OOC permission from the Alpha/Alphess and an Administrator.
▶ If your mate has been kicked out of the clan for inactivity, has been banned or exiled, then you may choose another mate whenever you wish.
▶ A realistic amount of posts should be posted before becoming mates. Example: You cannot post three messages and be automatically in love. A decent amount of posts should be sent in order for mateship to occur. A minimum of 20 roleplay messages.
Offspring
▶ You must have posted a minimum of 20 messages between the two characters in order to produce kits. A minimum of 20 roleplay messages.
▶ You may only have up to 5 kits, per litter. All kits who do not have active roleplayers at the age of 6 moons/10 weeks are classed as deceased.
▶ Keep the "love" realistic and appropriate. Detailed births are not needed- some of us do not want to read it. Therefore, you are allowed to keep it short and almost "unrealistic" due to the fact birth is realistically gory and users do not want to read gory births.
▶ Use realistic time frames (obviously you don't just "become pregnant" or "become a queen" and look like you're ready to give birth 1 day later). There is a 1 week minimum from when becoming official mates to before you can become pregnant. After that one week minimum is up, you can then be pregnant (if both parties agree). Once pregnant you should then be pregnant for about 14 days in real life time, and then around the 13th - 14th day, you should give birth.
▶ There is a limit of three litters per character. This means you can have kits with any tom/she-cat you desire (this includes item based pregnancies) but once those three litters have been used, you need to purchase the extra litter item to be able to have a forth litter. Each birth/litter must be spaced out a realistic and fair time-frame (30-60 days minimum; waiting until the first litter have become warriors is the ideal time period). We don't want the clans overpopulated by two character's offspring.
▶ Queen characters/male characters with kits, cannot randomly be made, the lonely litter item needs to be purchased.
Adoption
▶ If you wish to adopt a kit or pup, that is fine. However, both the adoptee and the adopter must give consent in OOC.
▶ If the pup/kit is not taken care of properly and/or is abused, the leader/alpha has permission to revoke your guardianship of the kit or pup.
▶ You are to adopt of the same species, if you are wanting to adopt. (A cat cannot adopt a wolf pup).
If any of these rules are not followed, it does mean that your account has risked the potential to hold mates and have offspring. Users who break these rules may have their pregnancy terminated and would then have to wait another few weeks (a realistic time-frame) before they may become pregnant again.
Unrealistic actions and behavior is not tolerated on the forum, so please do roleplay with care. And remember, if in doubt, just ask.
